Bright orb "free falling"

A bright circular orb that appeared to fall from the sky behind a large pine tree in my neighbors backyard. It just fell straight down as if in free fall motion.

The tree is about 30-40 ft away from my position and it was tough to tell how close the object was since it was behind the tree.
