Light west of Las Vegas, NV

Went out to walk my dog and noticed a very bright light much like an jet coming in for landing. Light drifted slowly down stopping at one point. Took photo with my cell phone camera before it went behind houses. I could see in the moonlight and city lights a "smoke" trail left where object came down. To give you and idea of brightness, in the photo it is about half as bright as street lights also in photo. I suppose it may have been a miltary flare dropped from aircraft.
