Reddish/Orange light seen over Seattle, WA

11/14/11 at 20:05, reporting from Seattle, Washington. Observed was a reddish/orange light approaching from the East. The light appeared to be moving fast over the Capital Hill/First Hill neighborhood and may have been 1000 to 2000 ft in elevation.

As the light approached closer it appeared to slow down and seemed very large. The light started to shift towards the north and appeared to get smaller. It appeared to climb in elevation and started moving at a faster rate.

The light disappeared and there was a flash of light that lasted a millisecond.

The normal route for air traffic to Sea-Tac International Airport was an approach from the North to the South. This object approached from the East and curved to the North, cutting through the normal flight pattern.

The sky was dark and partly cloudy and some stars were observed.
