California Fireball Western Sky November 10, 2011 My two daughters and I were outside, after sunset, the sky still light blue with a marine layer. My 7 year old said "mom look is that a rocket"? I went over and looked in the Western sky toward Lake Elsinore area, and there was a huge fireball with a fire-trail behind it, which then exploded into four big pieces which then had fire-trails behind them, we ran and just saw them disappear between the trees. I have never seen one so big and close as these were.
