Slow, low-flying lights making vast circles in the night sky (probably an odd airplane)

Very likely just an airplane, but certainly an odd one if it was. I just thought I would report it in case any other reports came in from the area.

I was driving home and noticed what appeared to be an airplane; two lights apparently on the ends of the wings, but they were not blinking like an airplane. In addition, it was traveling both very low and very slowly. It was making vast, sweeping circles of the night sky, the two white lights visible from all angles as it did.

This continued the entire time I was driving home and long enough for me to find my camera and take several pictures.

It was still circling when I came inside (more than 30 minutes later). Like I said, this is very unlikely to be anything more than an odd plane (there is a small airport - Lunken - just a few miles away) but it was unlike anything I've seen before, mostly because it was traveling so slowly and in circles (did not appear to be centered near the airport).
