On November 15 2010 at approximately 11:35 pm, while driving at approximately 60 mph along Route 2 (Dixon Road) near Rock Falls Illinois I observed a reddish-orange light traveling from east to west extremely fast across the sky, the light had the appearence of a basket ball, I did see the light clearly from my lest, it sight lasted 4 to 5 second until it diappeared in the horizon, my first thought was a plane flying at low altitud, the light did not blink, definately was not a aircraft navigation strobe light. whatever object that produced the light was traveling way too fast. the light left no trail.
