many ufos forming shapes together over gulf of mexico, one entered water

my father called me telling me he was seeing Glowing orange balls of light, many of them, forming shapes together, circles, straight lines, triangles even looking like they are arranging letters. They would disappear and reappear, one entered the Gulf of Mexico, others hovered over water in circle. Shapes visible from beach.
