Stationary light became very bright with halo, moved north as it dimmed into orangish color & vanished.

Observed stars and noticed one which appeared to be a star become very bright. It almost seemed to have a halo around it at it's brightest. It did not appear to be moving until it started to dim. It then moved slowly north and dimmed into an orangish color and then faded away. Took place within 10 seconds.
