green football shaped object falling out of the western sky at a 45 degree angle on June 12th, 2007

Traveling south at approximately 10:30 an object appeared in the western sky falling at about a 45 degree angle the object had a tail for a period of a few seconds and then the tail dissapeared a small shower of red sparks came off the back and the object desended slowly it appeared to slow down anyway and the object glowed green. We watched it cross in front of us across the sky and were amazed at the color and the shape of the object. We have watched meteor showers before and this was not like any we have ever seen,
