it disapeared and reapeared

i was with my friend out on our boat and we were just relaxing,lloking at the stars.we were trying to find a satelite that i could show to my friend,but we spotted what lloked like a satelite.we whatched it move very slowly and then,right as my frend turned around...it disapeared and i told my friend "did you just see that!?it disapeared!" he didnt see it disapear but when he turned bck around he couldnt find it gain and all of the sudden...it reapeared again after about 5-10 seconds later.and after about 5 more minutes,it disapeared completely.
