Bright stationary red light on a partially cloudy night in an area of the sky in which no stars were visable. This was not a star/planet or a plane. The light was in the Northeasterly sky and did not appear to move. The light was reddish in color and did not vary in intensity. I would say it was at least twice as bright as the second brightest object in the sky and it appeared in an area of the sky that had cloud cover which obscured all other stars.
