I read the report I mentioned above just moments ago and I have to say that I saw nothing of the sort. I get on my roof to watch the Stealth do its fly by (as most of us locals don't care to go to the races all that much) and normally take photos. This year I didn't have batteries for my digital camera however I had my camera phone. I witnessed the stealth through binoculars from a distance and directly as it flew over me twice. I never saw any other object in its path, and I surely did not see any smoke coming from its wing. I have to assume that the individual who made the report was either in another existance, or was like most race goers and heavily intoxicated and possibly hung over from the night before (the weekend of the 500 all of the fans consume mind-blowing amounts of alcohol and god knows what else).
