yellow light that hovered and the flew straight the upwards

it was a mustard yellow about 56 cms long around 30 meters in the skys and flew across the sky and hovered for about 4 seconds and the flew across then straight up in the the clouds around 3 mins later i heard and saw 2 fighter jets flying toward where the light was
