Myself and my sister saw a saucer shaped object in Norththern England

We live on the edge of the town. It was about 10 pm and I looked out of my bedroom window and saw a disk shaped object in the sky. Very much like a saucer, but had a long line of light around the outside not flashing. I called my sister ((name deleted)) and she saw it as well. We saw the object fly over the fields about 800 ft up and then disapear into the clouds. There seemed to be a cloud of light around the object as well, but that may have been it shining through the mist. It also made a quite humming sound as i found out as I opened my window.
