small compact formation of lights, no movement; but bursts of red and yellow lights - very faint.

I saw 3 to 4 lights that at first appeared as a faint star. They didn't seem to move at all; but bursts of red and yellow lights either between the static lights/UFOs or simply emitted from them. Really didn't see any significant movement and not totally sure i didn't just see a grouping of stars. It was about 45 degrees and dead north of Portland.

We suspect the sighting may have been caused by "twinkling" stars, but that is only a guess. PD
