I felt compelled to look up into the sky, even though i had heard nothing

I noticed the object as I was walking along, I felt compelled to look up into the sky, even though I had heard nothing. As I looked up i noticed this grey object in the sky, at first i just thought it was a plane but the sound of the engine never came. I carried on looking at the object for a while longer tracking its course through the sky, then glanced down just for a second, when I looked up again it had disappeared and there was still no sound, I scanned the sky but could see nothing. The day was sunny, and there was hardly any cloud cover. The object just seemed to have disappeared into nothingness.
