Witnessed oval shaped object with flame in rear.

Approximately 6 Yrs. old at time. Was going across street to neighbor. I heard a roaring type sound and looked up to see illuminated (Dont know how it was illuminated) oval shaped object with windows seemingly propelled by a flame at rear. I don't think I told anybody at the time. Looking back, I would guess the elevation to be maybe 1000' to 2000'. Size maybe about 200'? I know it was NOT a plane, blimp, jet, etc.
