It was a metalic looking object with blue and yellow flashing lights.

I saw a large oblong shape in the sky on my way home from a late night party at my freind's house. It was about 12-14 feet in length and about 6-9 feet tall. It had blue and yellow flashing lights with a large dome on top that was a milky white color and made a slight wistling noise. I do hope it wasn't a hoax because I've told just about everyone I know.
