Two Stationary Bright Red Lights Over Phoenix Area

At approximately 8:00 pm I was taking a walk with my children when two very bright red lights drew my attention. These lights were stationary and appeared north of Chandler toward the airport. The lights were extremely bright red and one was slightly higher than the other. Suddenly the one that was highest just disappeared and a few minutes later the other also just disappeared. I did not see it move at all. Apparently quite a few people noticed these lights as it was on the nightly news.
