Strange star or moving object in the sky.

At first I thought it was someone with a powerful torch. Or an exceptionally bright star. I tried to focus with my telescope but could not catch it. I got out digicamera and took photographs which at first I thought I had spoiled by moving so then attatched to a tripod. The object still seems to move about the sky in an erratic way in the pics.

Only looking at pics would describe it.

Date is approximate. We suspect a celestial body, possibly Venus, might have been the cause of the sighting. PD
