Star looking light moving unlike anything seen before in small space making erratic movements
Imagine holding up a dime to sky at arms length creating an imaginary circle in which object stays inside. An unusually clear night with little light pollution.
Looking east finding Jupiter brightest object and then seeing unusual object about 4 oclock maybe ESE my location. My roommate was watching for half an hour and called me out to see this unusual thing. At first appeared like a star which pulsated slightly in light intensity. Suddenly it moved. Then it moved again up then down then diagonally then like a 'J' shape then a swiggle then stop and stable then again repeat and stop all within small space of that imagined dime circle space, never going outside that space. Sighting started for us about 7:30 PM January 8th and we observed about an hour, got cold and went inside and back outside a few times while object stayed the same until clouds occurred about 11:00 PM which blocked our view. Don't really know when this started or ended but I will be looking there next clear night. I do often look at sky and stars from my house 24 years now in an area with moderate to light pollution especially looking east. Never saw anything like this before. Exactly what this was, I leave to others because I don't know.
