Long cigar shape with six lights moving very fast.

Standing front of my house there was a lot of military jets overhead and as I looked up coming from the north there was a cigar shape thing going very fast, too fast to get my cell phone out of my pocket to take a picture.

The military jets seemed like they were trying to coral this thing, it flew right over head about 25,000 feet. The fighter jets were about 30,000 feet or higher and then it went straight up and out of sight. The military jets were still flying around a hour later. There were about 8 fighter jets. I am close to Washington, DC so I thought it was strange to see a lot of military jets, and Reagan airport is close by.
