UFO Case Report – NUFORC/MUFON Standard Format
Date/Time of Sighting:
Approx. 3:00 AM, 1982
Location:
Saint-Sauveur, Laurentides region, Quebec, Canada
Witnesses:
Primary witness: M
Secondary witnesses: Group present nearby (engaged in conversation, not focused on the sky)
Duration:
Several minutes, multiple phases of activity
Object Description:
• Luminous object, appearing as a bright light in the night sky
• No visible structure beyond the light
• Silent, no sound detected
Events Observed:
1. Light appeared briefly, then extinguished (initially thought to be a “dying star”).
2. Light reappeared a second time, brightened, then vanished.
3. On the third appearance, the light remained illuminated and performed the following maneuvers:
• Zipped forward suddenly, stopped instantly.
• Repeated the motion, then executed a half-circle turn to the right, returning to nearly the same position but slightly lower.
• Performed two distinct forward bursts, then on the third burst vanished at high speed.
Environmental Conditions:
• Clear night sky, stars visible
• Witness lying on a beach chair, relaxed observation
Witness Statement:
“This was not a satellite, a plane, or a weather balloon. The movements were precise, instantaneous, and unlike anything conventional. My only regret is that I have never seen something similar again.”
Supporting Evidence (Diagram Provided):
Submitted a hand-drawn diagram illustrating the trajectory:
• Three bright glows at the start.
• Three forward movements with a half-circle turn to the right.
• Return to the starting point, slightly lower.
• Two bursts forward, followed by a third burst ending in complete disappearance.
Possible Explanations Considered:
• Satellite: ruled out (movement inconsistent with orbital paths)
• Aircraft: ruled out (no sound, impossible maneuvers)
• Weather balloon: ruled out (no illumination source, no rapid movement)
Classification:
Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon (UAP)
