Location details: I am on a cul-de-sac, and it is right by some forests, we were looking at Aldebaran, good visibility

It was a flashing light, going faster then other planes in the sky, it changed direction erratically then disappeared.

We saw a flashing light that at first we assumed was a plane, as we looked at it more closely, we noticed it was flashing extremely differently to other planes we saw. It was pure white, and looked faster than other planes. It then flew out of sight after a couple minutes and I was talking to my friend about how I thought it was a ufo, and it then reappeared out of nowhere, going the complete opposite direction. We observed it closely, noticing the erratic flying, and concluded it was definitely unlike something commonly seen in the sky. Then, as we were talking about it, it just disappeared. Out of nowhere, and we didn’t see it afterwards.
