A rotating octagonal object with bright red and green light panels flew over the sky

It was split it two halves, top and bottom rotating independently. Ocagonal in shape but flat. Showing red and green panels on ITS sides. No sound, stable altitude, moving slowly. Moved from ENE to WSW in cardinal directions. It seemed almost like the top of an old carousel. No other objects near it.
