US Navy MH 60S helicopter chasing orb

At approximately 9:34 p.m. on July 9th I heard a loud helicopter moving from east to west north to south and when I looked out my window I observed a US Navy MH60S helicopter traveling approximately 125 miles per hour chasing a bright orange orb 85% of the helicopter size. The orb headed directly west towards San Clemente Island and blinked off. The helicopter continued on that path and I observed it on the flight tracker heading southwest it was then joined by a US Coast guard MH60T which was at another location going 1 mile an hour hovering 50 ft above the ground I have these images on the flight tracker app

INVESTIGATION REPORT

We identified the helicopter as belonging to a Navy unit that only does training of new pilots. They're not tasked for real-world scenarios so it's unlikely they would have been scrambled to intercept a UAP. It's always possible that they came across something in their training route, but less likely because their ADS-B path is not erratic as if they were chasing something. The witness described the light as orangish and just a little brighter than the helicopter light behind it. He felt that it was mimicking the same color as the helicopter. My working theory is that it was a lead helicopter with its nav lights off and just the landing light so as not to blind the trailing helicopter using night vision. We saw the exact same thing happen with the helicopter filmed a few months ago near Tucson. The lead helicopter didn't show up at all except for the tail light and it wasn't broadcasting ADS-B (which often they don't). So we're running low on the FOIA timeline, but I may not file one if I can get confirmation from the actual unit through our connection as to anything unusual that night.
