Bright red Orange light that was originally stopped, moved for a few seconds, then shot up into space

Large bright red Orange light that stood out from stars to the left of my vehicle in the night sky. I got to a stop sign when it started to move towards above my vehicle, it then stopped after a short distance and started to go straight up into space where it disappeared.
