Red Orb

Wife and I were watching our town's annual fireworks display, we were facing south. In between the fireworks being let off, my wife and I noticed a red orb appear to the southwest very high in the sky, it stayed still for around 5 seconds then zipped to the east at an incredible rate of speed, then vanished. We looked at each other and said "did you see that". It appeared again in about 10 or so seconds and did the exact same pattern. We continued to watch the sky but did not see it again.
