Went to edge of front porch and something caught my eye in the backyard. A small hovering craft in the corner
About 1:05 am i went on my front porch as I couldn't sleep so I sat in the silence of this small town. The temperature was 16 and partly cloudy. All i heard was the creaking of the old oil pump jacks in the distance. 5 minutes later I walked to the stairs of my porch (to the west). I looked to my right (northwest) as something caught my eye. There I saw something hovering in the back corner of my property (70-75 feet away). And my bug light about 15 ft from the object was out. This object (silhouette as egg shaped) had a dull red band of light around it length wise. And maybe size of a football. At first I thought it was a drone but there was no sound at all. So I slowly went down the 5 steps. When I got to the concrete the dull light turn noticeably brighter only illuminating the ground and fence. In the blink of an eye it shot straight up. While I tried to track it and couldn't my bug light came on.
