Around 2am, clear night over Glasgow, I was about to go to sleep when something compelled me to look out my window at the sky. I live in a ground floor flat, I pulled my blinds apart and looked up into the sky, looking East. The sky was very blue, hardly any clouds and I instantly noticed a white/pale yellow light in the sky. At first I thought it was a star, but this light moved in a slow circlar pattern down towards the horizon in a "J" shape, as it started to go up again it sped up, and continued to go straight up at very high speed and disappeared.
There were no flashing lights, no sound, just a very smooth "J" shape movement.
I saw it when I looked into the sky, how long it had been hovering there I don't know, from when I saw it and it making the "J" movement was maybe 4 seconds.
I spent a few minutes scanning the sky but didn't see anything else.
