Description of the Sighting:
I witnessed an unusual aerial event involving 6 to 7 star-like objects between 8:40 PM and 9:40 PM on July 1, 2025, while looking at the night sky from Butwal.
The objects appeared to be bright like stars but were moving across the sky in different directions, not in a straight or organized pattern like satellites or aircraft. They were scattered, not aligned like a Starlink train.
The most unusual part was that two of these objects suddenly disappeared at the exact same spot in the sky, even though:
The surrounding stars remained clearly visible.
The sky had only light cloud coverage.
No light or blinking typically seen with planes or drones.
If these were satellites, they should have reappeared after crossing the cloud patch, especially since other stars behind the same cloud were still visible. However, the two objects never reappeared and seemed to vanish completely and abruptly.
The movements of the lights were smooth but independent, and there was no sound. The event felt intentional or coordinated, but not mechanical in a way I could identify.
---
Known Objects Ruled Out:
Not airplanes: No blinking or sound, and erratic movement.
Not Starlink: No straight-line formation; scattered and moving in various directions.
Not meteors: No trail, no fast streaking, and lasted much longer.
Not weather-related: Cloud cover was minimal; nearby stars remained visible throughout.
---
Visual Evidence:
The objects were so high in the sky that my phone was not capable of capturing them. By the time I tried, they were too small and dim for my device to register.
---
Witnesses:
Only myself, as far as I know. I am currently checking with local social groups and community pages to find out if others saw the same event.
