1974 green orb flew straight at us

We were coming home from our youth club. It was around 9-9:30 pm. A green orb headed straight for us from around 200 get to a few meters straight over our heads. We were just about up cross a main road ( filton ave) and across to the road we lived in ( keys ave) and it came down and along keys ave heading straight at three of us. Glowing green about the size of a tennis ball.

Because keys ave is across the main road we were crossing and slightly staggered junction this object changed direction to compensate. Both myself and my sibling ducked as it seemed to be heading straight at us. It was very fast with no sound. It disappeared over our heads and back up into the sky !

It was the early 1970’s there was no tech that would have existed then , which could explain it. It was dark and we were very scared as we were only 12 or 13 years old.
