It came out of the water vertically

I contacted PLEAD Control and asked permission to transit. I was given permission and was several minutes into the south bound track when a large brilliant white craft came out of the ocean at high speed and dissapeared into space. No sound, no thrusts as from a rocket. I was on the container ship Matson Manulani as Second Officer (Navigator). I contacted PLEAD Control via VHF and said I thought you said there was no activity? A very agitated man on the other end reconfirmed no activity. I told him what I saw and finished my transit with no further issues, sightings, or communications with them.
