Clear sighting of UFO

I was 13 at the time and was standing out on the chalet balcony when a huge disk shaped UFO glided over the roof top of the apartments, turned around and slowly disappeared in the distance. The second was a further distance away. There was multicoloured lights around the edges of the UFO. It was pretty silent but there was a light humming noise. It totally defied gravity and it was definitely technology not from the planet. There was 1 other guy standing outside but he quickly disappeared back into his chalet. I haven’t heard of anybody else witnessing this. My parents disregarded what I told them the next morning. Camera phone weren’t available then unfortunately.
