Location details: I was walking through the apartments I lived in to go to my friends house.

Direction from Viewer: 90 degrees then it moved to about 45 degrees.

Heading: it was following me until I went under a porch
Closest Distance: 200 yards maybe when it appeared above me.
Estimated Speed: very slowly at first. Then disappeared.
Characteristics: Lights on object, Marks found on body afterwards

UFO shined a very bright light on me and followed me when I ran.

I was walking to my friends house to go stay the night and I'm walking through the apartments we lived in on a very curvy sidewalk. All of a sudden this super bright light came on right over me shining right on me. No sound at all. I looked up to see what it was an the light was so bright it blinded me for a few seconds. Once I could see again I took of running. The craft followed me every step I took, the light shining on me the whole way.

Once I got to my friends apartment, he lived upstairs so I ran up the stairs and their porch was covered so the light couldn't shine on me from right above me. I banged on my friends door an his mom answered and I turned to look where it went an we both saw it with the light still shining down but not on me. It was cloudy that night an we saw it go unto the clouds an we could still see the light shining through the clouds to the ground. It was like it was looking for something but again it was totally silent.

Within about 2 minutes we couldn't see it anymore.

I was glad his mom saw it too cause no one would have beleived me especially back in 1980. She wasn't convinced it was a UFO but she agreed it wasn't a plane or helicopter.

When it took off into the clouds I got a better look at it an it looked like a round shaped craft. I couldn't tell a color.

The next day I was sunburned on my face and arms and I hadn't been out in the sun much in several days so it wasn't from the sun.

My parents asked me how I got sun burned. I explained it an they didn't beleive it but I said then how else did I get sunburned when I hadn't been out in the sun much. They couldn't answer that.
