Small disk shaped object flashes of light

I was about 9 years old. Real late in the night I could hear voices outside my window and my dogs were going crazy. So, like any curious kid I stepped out the back door to look around. My dad came out behind me after hearing the door open and asked what I was doing, I explained what I heard and above us about 100 feet was a small disk shaped object. It was about the size of a standard car tire. It flashed 3 flashes of light and flew away at a very fast rate.
