Stargazing with Binoculars
I had just received my binoculars on December 3, 2024, and went outside with the intention of trying to spot a UFO. It didn’t take long at all, and I was absolutely shocked by what I saw. I sat in my chair on my back porch (I live in an apartment complex) and pointed my binoculars at a cluster of stars near Algenib, in the Andromeda constellation. I was facing 84° east, looking straight up at the sky when I noticed what looked like something flying by.
I could only describe it as a star because I couldn’t make out its shape. It was bright and had no blinking lights like an airplane, and it was moving incredibly fast. I had to hold the binoculars really steady to keep track of it. I knew it was at a very high altitude, but I couldn’t see a specific shape.
Over the course of 30 minutes, I saw at least 4 different objects moving in the same direction (from north to south, left to right). They were all flying incredibly fast. After each sighting, I double-checked with a flight tracker on my phone to make sure no planes or aircraft were in my area. I live near an airport, so I’m used to seeing planes all the time, but at the times I saw the objects, no flights were registered in my area. I checked the flight tracker multiple times, and there were no airplanes above me at all.
I knew immediately that these objects were not airplanes because of how fast they were moving. If you download a flight tracker yourself, you can look back in time and search my area to verify that no flights passed through at those specific times.
I was in complete awe—my mouth was wide open in shock because I didn’t expect to see something so fast and so clearly. I had heard there might be an increase in sightings on this date, and I was hoping to spot something, but I didn’t imagine it would happen so quickly. I stayed outside for another hour after the sightings, but I didn’t see anything else. In the first 30 minutes, I saw at least 4 objects.
