Crescent shape moving eastward, about cloud line moving at a decent speed

Wide Crescent Object was barely visible in a clear starry sky moving eastward moving well faster than a plane but much slower than a low flying bird. Couldn't tell it's altitude, but assumed to be around average cloud distance.
Crescent/half oval, seemed to dim as it left view moving more eastward.
Gave appearance as if light was reflecting off something metallic in certain direction
