I saw a distant light in the sky traveling west to east directly overhead and going at a very rapid speed, followed by 10 more.
I happened to be outside retreiving my newspaper and glanced up to observe the stars. It's a cold morning and the sky is clear - the stars are bright and numerous. I noticed a single light passing overhead and thought it might be a satellite. But after the first light passed overhead, I noticed another light traveling in the same direction, then nine more followed. They all appeared to be on the same path, with the exception of one that seemed to veer off and then come back to parallel the others. They were not in a close line but spaced out….I held up my hand and spread my fingers to measure the gap between them. These were silent, distant and faint white lights, moving very quickly across the sky from the west to the east. In total, I saw eleven. It's not unusual to see planes passing over on their to and from Bradley Airport but this is the first time I've seen this many flying in tandem and they were definitely not heading to Bradley.
