Driving on regular suburban street

This was around spring or summer of 1995 or 1996. A friend and I were driving to pickup his girlfriend on the Hicksville/Bethpage boarder right around Grumman (which was an active at time). At that time Grumman was active with fighter jets. Had active runway for planes. Please keep in mind this is the same place that made modules for the space moon landing in 1969.

Anyway, my friend is driving and I look up and see this very large craft with literally no borders to it. It was literally just above the tree line and I can see it clear as day. It was round in shape, again no definite borders to it and I remember it was not closed at the bottom! It was from what I remember dripping something from the bottom of the craft.

I 100% saw this and my mind was in complete shock. I turned to my friend who was driving and his jaw literally was to the ground. I turned back to look at the craft again and it just gone. No trace. If he didn’t see it, I thought my mind was playing tricks on me. But I know what I saw.
