Bright light, like a star moving erratically

I was going out to my garage and I saw a bright light, almost looked like Jupiter but it was moving around, staying in one area. I got my things from the garage and went back to my porch to finish my cigarette, and looked back up where the light looked like it was getting closer to me. I ran inside.
