3 glowing orbs that changed colors from Red, Blue, Green, purple and pink floating in sky and eventually launched opposite directions

In 2008 my friend and I were sitting in his car on the hills of Ashland facing South East towards Mount Shasta California. Facing more south then East. We were very high in the Ashland hills with a clear view of the I-5 valley going South to Shasta California. As we were sitting in his car, we both noticed 3 glowing orbs/ lights approximately 5,000+ feet in the air over the mountings. All 3 orbs/lights were hovering in a triangle like shape for around 45 seconds gently moving up and down slightly. We were both extremely thrown off and confused as what this could be as the sun was setting at the time but the horizon of the mountains still had plenty sun before setting. The 3 orbs/ lights in a triangle pattern went from being 1.Blue 2. Green 3. Red to launching faster then anything I have ever seen in my life, no plane, rocket or shooting star has EVER moved at the less speeds. They launched upwards into tho air a few thousand feet in a split second, then the left orb shot North turning purple and pink, the middle born shot upwards into the sky turning purple and pink and the right orb shot south turning purple and pink. If I had to guess a speed, the number would be absolutely INSANE! Aprox 10,000+ mph? The were gone with min a split second all in different directions glowing in the sky and changed colors. We were absolutely mind blown and knew in our hearts what we just witnessed was beyond the norms of society and even possibly government. This was truly a mind blowing, freakish moment I will NEVER forget. About 10 years later I find out Mount Shasta California is one of the hottest UFO & UAP sighting areas in the world and it makes complete sense now, since we were about 45 minutes north of Shasta and the Orbs we’re probably about 20 minutes away. The speed at which they launched up and then launched again into another direction is truly insane. I would love to hear others stories of what they have seen someday.
