Low flying "cloaked" triangle

When I was about 13 my dad and I, along with some companions were travelling north-northeast of Pipestone, MN. The sun had set but there was still some sunlight, some stars were shining, it was a clear sky evening.

As we were traveling I looked out my windows and noticed what looked like a low flying aircraft headed towards us coming from the Northeast. As it got closer something about it seemed strange about it and I noticed it wasn't moving fast like an airplane should.

I tapped my dads shoulder and asked him "what is that?" He couldn't see it from where he was in the car so we pulled over onto the shoulder and my dad and I got out of the vehicle. The other 2 with us remained inside.

The craft got closer and I could see it was triangular in shape with a point of light on each point of the triangle. As it flew over us we looked up at it and I noticed that within the perimeter of the "triangle of lights" I could see the stars on the other side of it but we're "wiggly" as though the light from the stars were distorted from heat distortion. This is why I call it "cloaked" like from Star Trek.

This craft moved extremely slow. It was maybe 200-300 feet above us and was rather big. It also moved very slow. I could have ran faster than this thing was moving. It gave out no sound, no jet engine, propeller, rotor sounds, nothing. It was completely silent.

After it flew over us we watched it continue off to the southwest as long as we could see it.
