UFO terrorizes Austin Tx

There may be a record of this event (if you can even get the information) that occurred in Austin sometime in the spring, between 1998 and 2001. My dad called me from work (at that time he was working at TX DPS). He told me to not go out on the Austin roads because DPS and other law enforcement agencies were chasing a UFO that was zooming around Austin. He kept me constantly updated as to where it was. Whenever I was talking with him I could hear all the radio chatter he was receiving from the guys chasing this thing. It was all over west Austin, Oak Hill and the area west of Oak Hill. Then my mom called me, terrified. She said she was hearing voices but she couldn’t understand what they were saying. I immediately called my dad and he said the UFO had just gone down the street in front of their house (they lived in Oak Hill on Scenic Brook Dr). It took off into the hill country west of Austin and was never seen again (or so my dad was told). I don't have more details on the sighting (number of witnesses, color etc) as my dad has passed away so I can't talk to him to get more information. But this event has stuck with me all this time.
