We saw two wobbly disk shaped flying saucers slowly flying down the street, they went behind a building and we lost sight of them.

On May 2nd, 2017, around 3:30 PM, my partner and I were in our apartment on the corner of 42nd Street and 11th Avenue (Sky Apartments), which had large windows. Our unit was on the southeast corner just above the pool, looking south on 11th Avenue. About two blocks away, we saw two flying saucers (disk-shaped) with a slight wobble, like those from old sci-fi movies, slowly flying north on 11th Avenue towards our building. They were about 10-12 stories high, one was halfway over the sidewalk and road and the other one next to it was over the road (11th Avenue). My partner grabbed the binoculars (which were right there at the windows) for a closer look. I saw them with my own eyes (perfect vision), and there's no explanation other than UAP/UFO. It happened so fast and suddenly that we didn't have time to grab our phones to take videos or photos. And in hindsight, we were so fixated on them (almost in a trance) that it didn't even occur to us in the moment to grab our phones on our nightstands (if we had, we would’ve missed them).

They turned left and went behind a tall building, headed west towards the Hudson River, and we lost sight of them. From a distance, I estimate they were approximately 60-70 feet wide and 30-40 feet tall, in a saucer disk shape, and matte silver with no windows. Each one appeared smaller than a dime held at arm's length.

This was not a dream, and we don’t use drugs or drink alcohol. We were never into UFOs before this and didn’t give them much thought, just two professionals living and working in the city.

What I find strange is that after the sighting, we both just commented on how interesting it was and went on with our lives without talking much about it. In hindsight, I'm shocked we didn't call the local air force or tell anyone about it until recently. The fear of ridicule and ruining our professional careers was a concern for us. This sounds absolutely crazy, but did they have some kind of effect on us? I’ve also searched for other reports of these sightings at this time and am surprised nobody else reported seeing them.

I don’t know if it’s relevant, but it’s worth mentioning that this happened two days before the then-President of the U.S. was to give a speech at the Intrepid Museum, one block west on the Hudson.
