Saw a round object go by slower than a plane

My husband and I were swimming in the pool of our townhome complex when he interrupted me to look at something and he pointed to the sky. It was a stormy afternoon and the wind was blowing one way and the object that looked like a huge balloon was going the opposite direction. The object looked about the size of the cockpit are of a commercial jet. It was moving a little slower than a jet on a straight path. We couldn’t take a photo because we were in the pool.
