Flying north to south from 2 sources

There was more than 20 flying from 2 sources all had a big light no flashing to indicate it was a plane flew from north to south but disappeared once it passed this big light that stayed in one position in east sky. one almost collided with a plane, plane switched courses abruptly to avoid collision
