Saw a cigar shaped light above our house.

Our family was at six flags in Eureka, Mo on July 26th, 1978. That day a car on the sky lift ride fell to the ground killing several people. We left the park early and returned home to nearby High Ridge, MO. My brother and I were playing in our front yard and both saw a strange shaped light in the sky. It was green in color and cigar shaped with a curve on one end. The object was gone within a minute but I don’t remember seeing it fly away. I was pretty young and forgot about the incident until decades later. I asked my brother about it and he remembers the incident as well. I probably never would have posted about it but when I found this site and noticed multiple other sightings on and around the same date in the same areas I thought I should post.

I’m not sure what I believe in regards to extraterrestrials but I know we saw something that day.
