Sphere in the sky that glowed like an LED light and appeared/disappeared multiple times, at times pulsating.

My daughter and I observed what we thought might be a mylar balloon because it appeared to be a small, metallic sphere that was spinning in place (the sun light was reflecting off of it). At some point it became more of a pulsating light that would constantly disappear and reappear. It appeared to remain in the same place. When I began recording it, it wouldn't appear on the screen despite us looking straight at it. I filmed about 7 short videos and the object was visible in only 1 of those videos. There is one video where I am counting the pulses and each time it appears/disappears but the object is not visible in the video. At times the object appeared to pulse like someone signaling SOS with a light. About 15 minutes into looking at the object, the wind picked up and a large group of birds started swirling in the sky. The object reappeared in a different location not too far from where it was originally. Later on, the object returned to the original location. We never saw the object move across the sky- it only disappeared and reappeared multiple times. The object disappeared and we did not see it again. After about 10 minutes, we went inside. It's worth noting that there were birds (seagulls and pigeons) flying around but much lower than this object. There was no sound or trail like with a plane.
