A large black triangle with red lights on the corners rising slowly in the sky and blinked out of sight

I was riding home in the car from Hayden, CO. I must have gotten lost in my head because I was snapped back to an aware state as I was staring at this very large black triangle craft with red lights on each of the 3 corners rising slowly into the sky to the north of highway 40, maybe half a mile to a mile away from the highway. It appeared to be rising from the ground on the other side of the small mountains lining the highway. As soon as I noticed it and had a reaction to it, it blinked out of sight.
